Spring breeze from Kyrgyz

In Rome, where I live now, it is getting warmer and warmer day by day. I feel that spring is just around the corner. The other day, I bought several lovely scarves which would go well with my spring clothes. Look at the photo! The pink flowers and small hearts are creating a spring atmosphere.

The scarf was made by Kyrgyz women. The shiny gray cloth is made of silk, and the pink flowers and small hearts are made of felt. Isn’t it a wonderful combination? In Kyrgyz, people living in mountainous areas live on sheep-raising. Wool is one of the valuable resources for income. Such scarves are made and promoted as part of the Mountain Partnership Product Initiative, which is an international programme financed by the Italian Cooperation Agency and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Looking at the following photos, can you feel the spring breeze blowing in from Kyrgyz? Be Empowered with Available Resources. Let’s BEAR!
